Blocked users can still see your profile, receive notifications, follow you, etc. As the title says, even if you block someone, they can still be subscribed to the comment thread on your comments, and though it prevents them from posting anything, they still receive notifications/updates on when someone else posts something there.

Essentially, blocking someone cuts off all social features on roblox.com. We’re working on expanding the feature to in-game interactions, as well. If either you or the blocked individual attempt any of these actions, we’ll display messages indicating that they’re not available.
However, I recieved no messages back when they were sent. This means that when you block someone on your friends list, you can still message them all you like, but they can't message you. In conclusion, the Steam client appears to give absolutly no indication to the blocked user in any of our tests that they have in fact been blocked.
When someone blocks you, they show up as offline. When you block someone. They show as offline. Also if the person removed you as a friend. They will get removed. Thanks :) Was hard to find actual information on this, since a lot of mixed responses from googling. I figured that was the case, but some posts suggested otherwise.

ROBLOX now has a block feature. Blocked users can't message, trade, chat, follow, or send FRs to you on the website. If you block someone, that should keep you from sending messages to that person as well.
The same will happen to the blocked user as well- you will be removed from their Following and Favorite User lists. The blocked user is not notified when they are blocked or unblocked.

Players age 13 and older have the ability to say more words and phrases than younger players. This filtering system covers all areas of communication on Roblox, public and private. Knowing If You’ve Been Blocked. The purpose of blocking others in Roblox is to filter out individuals from social interactions. This means there’s a number of “signs” that indicate that you’ve been blocked. In relation to the person that blocked you, you won’t be able to: Send messages. Send Friend requests.
All it takes is going to their profile page, selecting the three dots in the upper right corner, and hitting the “Block user” option from the pop-up menu.
Introduced in 2014, the Block function was created so that users themselves can police their social experience without the company’s intervention. It serves as a quick fix to any grievances players might have towards one another. The reasons for blocking can be very subjective and all users get to decide whether that kind of action is needed.
A blocked persons list in Roblox is limited to 50 per user . This means that someone who employs this function on a regular basis will have to consider unblocking others at some point. If you’ve blocked someone by accident, you might want to unblock them as soon as possible. Here’s how it’s done:
To block a ROBLOX member for any reason you see fit, go to their profile page. Under their character thumbnail, you’ll see a “More” button. Hit the button, and click “Block user.” This adds the user to your block list, which you can manage at any time within the “Privacy” tab of the Account Settings page. Currently, you can block a maximum of 50 individuals. This number may change in the future.
If either you or the blocked individual attempt any of these actions, we’ll display messages indicating that they’re not available. Again, you can remove someone from your block list under the “Privacy” tab on the Account Settings page, or by going back to their profile page and using the “More” button again.

Blocking clearly states "Block Communication". That means the user can not contact the user, not that the user's profile is not viewable. If someone wants the profile non-viewable, then they need to make it private or friends only.

Making your profile private to blocked users is useless as they can just log out and view your profile or create a second account and view your profile. Blocking Communication is only intended to block them from directly contacting you or posting on you profile.
Player.Chatted fires an event with the parameters message and recipient. As described on the Roblox Developer site, recipient is set to nil if the player was not whispering to another player, but contains a Player instance when the message is sent in whisper chat. This event currently fires on all clients regardless of the intended recipient.
Like sure the exploiter could just replicate the Message Logging system from your Moderator’s UI but that’s not for us to worry about, that’s on you for detecting that yourself. As this security check would be a helpful change for everyone and impact the few that use it for legitimate purpose. Stopping those who misuse it completely and making it so the people who use it correctly simply have to change it’s done.
To answer this a bit, although the Roblox chat filter does a lot to filter potential personal information, we still often see players sharing personal information such as Discord tags, their age, etc.
Roblox server should check the recipient argument and only send the event to the intended recipient if there is one, instead of broadcasting it to all clients.
Due to this, players often share personal information via whisper messages, which currently can also be viewed by exploiters. Exploiters may use this information to then intimidate players, potentially making players feel scared that their personal information can be accessed by someone random.
I agree that a whisper message should be private. Although the previous post provides a workaround, I don’t subscribe for allowing bad behavior to continue for the sake of not disrupting the apple cart. Better default security options should be employed whenever possible, and this appears to be a no brainer. A boolean or property to change the default if need be can be provided, but as a user I’d just assume all communications are public. Educationally promoting good computing practices takes time and since most people on Roblox are kids we can’t assume they know any better.
Going with the post above a simple fix would be to only fire Player .Chatted with whispers on the server rather than both the server and the client. That would prevent exploits from logging whispers and would allow developers to log chat. As for sharing private info that should technically be for the filter to do its work (Seeing as how it filters almost everything I’m not sure what secrets players could send to each other).
Depends how the game developers set up things. If they use the Steam block list, they can exclude people from matchmaking with you.
This means that when you block someone on your friends list, you can still message them all you like, but they can't message you. In conclusion, the Steam client appears to give absolutly no indication to the blocked user in any of our tests that they have in fact been blocked.
the person you want to block needs to be offline before you block him or you will get this "still online bug" maybe restarting your steam after blocking will work also.
It seems that the person you have blocked can still read your Steam forum posts which should not be possible. I mean I often block people because they were being rude or just unpleasant so naturally I don't want them to read my forum posts let alone reply to them.
