A 'seed' value can be set to generate random terrain. Add - Adds terrain using the brush. While clicking, it adds terrain. Subtract - The same thing with Add, but it deletes terrain when clicking. Paint - Paints terrain into materials. Grow - Like the Add tool, but makes it much smoother.
Is this possible? ROBLOX has some funky render distance management. The Quality Level set from the Escape Menu affects the rendering distance, but there's also a boolean graphical setting called FramerateManager which dynamically alters the final render distance to keep the framerate stable.
In this article, we’ll explain more about LOD’s benefits and why this update will improve your overall Roblox experience. Most video games today use an optimization process, called “Level of Detail,” which simplifies rendering geometry far away from the character/camera.
In Roblox, this technique greatly reduces the hardware strain that comes from rendering all voxels at the same time, subsequently freeing up video memory and processing power that could be used for other important tasks, like physics simulation.

Terrain. The Terrain Generator is a ROBLOX Studio and ROBLOX Studio 2.0 Beta plug-in that generates a voxel based grid of a combination of different BaseParts to create various terrains and landforms via a very large script. It was added in October 2011 along with the actual Terrain object.
Terrain lets you create dynamically morphable environments with little to no lag. It is currently based on a 4×4×4 grid of cells, where each cell has a number between 0 and 1 representing how much the geometry should occupy the cell, and the material of the cell.
Although it is possible to change the terrain's texture to Roblox's material textures, I don't think it's currently possible to change its texture into a custom one. The only way to make a custom textured terrain is to make it as a mesh on Blender or other applications.
