Hi, everyone! On August 28, 2019, we will be ending support for Roblox on Windows XP and Vista. This means that anyone running these operating systems will need to upgrade to Windows 7 or above to continue playing. Why is this happening?
I think it was the right choice for ROBLOX to end support for XP and Vista, The average ROBLOX player (which are mostly kids and early teens) plays the game on Mobile, or Windows 7, 8.1 or 10, or rarely XBOX ONE
The Roblox Player doesn't work properly under Wine or Proton. It'll run but will promptly crash due to the anti-cheat not liking it. Roblox Studio will run fine though, but you won't be able to play games from the Roblox website using it. A VM running at least Windows 7 with GPU passthrough seems to be the way to go here if you're running Linux.

I’m an 18 year old female. I’ve been playing roblox since I was 13. I’m a quiet player, I don’t get involved in drama, I just watch and find it amusing because I used to be like that but I still enjoy the games. I’m still considered a “teen” in some respects but I am also aware I am a legal adult.

Roblox is ending support for Windows Vista™ and Windows® XP! Is there any way to bring back an older version of Roblox after it ends support for Vista and XP like people did with steam because i don't want to have to upgrade to Windows® 7+ just to play a game...

It has occurred to me that the reason why a developer would go the route of stopping their program from launching on XP (rather than saying, it might not work properly from version x going forward) is that the companies are taking this step for data integrity.
Right you are! Unfortunately, it's beginning to look like you are the only MSFN member running Vista or XP who is really concerned about Roblox support - or perhaps there is simply no solution.
As if they ( third party software developers) would give one nickel whether someone's setup is secure or not; what is the underlying truth inside this PR talk is that Microsoft themselves make it gradually impossible for third party software developers to target older OSes with their (M$'s) updated Windows SDK s!
