You can view your online Xbox friends from the Friends tab in Xbox and create a party to play with them. To view all of your friends, or accept/reject friend requests, you can do so by logging into your Roblox account on another platform such as PC or Mobile.
Provided you meet the above condition, simply follow the below steps to enable the Spatial feature:
What is Safe Chat? Safe chat is a feature in Roblox that allows players to interact in the Roblox game chat with moderated protection. The filters that exist in safe chat keep players from revealing personal information, like names or addresses. Players with safe chat on also have heavier censoring than the average Roblox player.
You can't chat to your friends. Possibly the most important thing that Discord users want to be able to do, there's no cross-platform voice chat so you can't talk to friends on Discord via your Xbox One. This applies to both text and voice chat. You can't chat in a chat channel.
Roblox on Xbox has an integrated voice chat system that allows you to chat with your friends and party members.
If a microphone is connected via a headset or Kinect, you are automatically placed into voice chat with other players in the experience you joined.
Roblox also allows for the use of Xbox Live Party Chat with your Xbox Live friends. When active, this feature automatically overrides in-experience chat.
As nearly half of Roblox's player base consists of users over the age of 13, how to properly manage the safety of younger users has remained a concern. In a blog post, Roblox stated that the spatial voice feature will only be accessible to those who have verified that they are over the age of 13.
Once you've verified your age, voice chat can be toggled on and off within the setting menu. On PC, look for the gear icon in the upper right hand corner, then from the drop down menu click Settings. From settings, locate the Privacy tab from the menu on the left.
As of now, there's been no official statement regarding what can and can't be said over voice chat. Currently, swearing receives no form of punishment or censoring by Roblox—this will more than likely change however as the kinks continue to be worked out.
Whether you view it as unfortunate or not, not every Roblox experience will feature voice chat compatibility. The decision is completely up the individual game developers as to whether or not they want to allow it. If you're looking for a game to try out voice chat, Mic Up appears to be the current favorite.
