Yungoos has a special evolutionary requirement in Pokemon Go: Yungoos can only be evolved into Gumshoos during the day. This makes Yungoos similar to Eevee, which can only evolve into Espeon during the day. (Evolving Yungoos into Gumshoos also requires 50 Yungoos Candy.)
Pokemon GO goes off the real-world clock, and so as long as it looks like daylight in the game, then players should be good to go. Once they have enough candy and wait for the right time of day, Pokemon GO players can evolve Yungoos into Gumshoos.
While Yungoos is surprisingly decent for an unevolved Pokemon, it is not a solid contender for Pokemon GO's aggressive metagame. Perhaps when Niantic brings back the Little Cup, it can be a tremendous Normal-type sleeper pick for the tier, but as of right now, it is not recommended for use.

Because of its long body, Yungoos always gets hungry and they eat without manners . It roams around all day searching for prey (Rattata in particular) but at nightfall quickly loses all stamina and falls asleep.
