Graphics Card: On PC/Windows, the Roblox application requires DirectX 10 or higher feature level support. For the best performance we recommend either a computer less than 5 years old with a dedicated video card, or a laptop less than 3 years old with an integrated video card.

If you want to work apart from windows then you can go with OpenGL but it is no possible with DirectX because it is only available on Windows and Xbox.
It is rendered in OpenGL (well, it can be with a setting). And no, it doesn't look different in D3D rendering. (note: DirectX is more than just Direct3D.) Would performance be significantly different if rendered in OpenGL? Unlikely. There are some things that OpenGL implementations can be faster at, but WoW doesn't use any of them.
Microsoft was its developer and launched it on September 30, 1995. OpenGL can be installed on Linux, Mac OS, and Microsoft Windows operating systems. DirectX can run on Microsoft Windows, Dreamcast, Xbox, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Xbox series, and Series S because it is compatible with these operating systems.
Computer does not have the latest version of DirectX (Roblox requires v9 or later) Graphics card does not have the latest drivers. Graphics card is not supported by Roblox (rarely the case) Player has changed Roblox graphics settings.

One major difference is that OpenGL is cross-platform, and DirectX is available only on Windows and XBox. If you need to develop for more than Windows, OpenGL is the way to go. When it comes to graphics capabilities, both APIs rely on the use of the traditional graphics pipeline.

Starting April 28th, you will no longer be able to run #Roblox if you are using a Windows PC running Microsoft DirectX 9. To continue playing on Roblox, you will need to upgrade to Microsoft DirectX 10 or above. Microsoft DirectX 9 is typically only on PCs running on older software, such as Windows 98 and Windows XP.
In short: OpenGL is faster than DirectX. As for why OpenGL is faster than DirectX/Direct3D, the simple answer is that OpenGL seems to have a smoother, more efficient pipeline. At 303.4 fps, OpenGL is rendering a frame every 3.29 milliseconds; at 270.6 fps, DirectX is rendering a frame in 3.69 milliseconds.
DirectX was an API designed for low-level, high-performance access to broadly available, lower-performance, consumer-priced graphics hardware for the purpose of game development.
To continue playing on Roblox, you will need to upgrade to Microsoft DirectX 10 or above. Microsoft DirectX 9 is typically only on PCs running on older software, such as Windows 98 and Windows XP. To check what Microsoft DirectX version you are running, type "dxdiag" into the Windows search bar.
The minimum system requirements for Roblox requires you to have 1GB RAM memory, and 1.6Ghz processor. The HP 15.6 exceeds these requirements with it having 8GB Ram memory and 2.5Ghz processor. I hope that answered your question.
CPU is 100% while GPU rests at 2% while playing roblox - Microsoft Community.
ROBLOX Engineers used Apocalypse Rising as a benchmark when crafting the new rendering engine. On average, the smash-hit title runs 2x faster. We're proud to announce the full-blown release of a custom-built rendering engine, now powering games across ROBLOX.
Just go in the GPU settings, find the tab where you can add games, find “RobloxPlayerBeta.exe” and add it there.
To adjust the graphics setting, perform the following:While in an experience, click on the Roblox logo, located in the upper-left of the screen or press ESC key to open the menu.Select the Settings tab at the top.For automatic graphics quality, change the Graphics Mode line to Automatic.More items...
If it's important to use one of the aforementioned APIs for educational purposes then DirectX 11 certainly has the most learning resources. The API is lower complexity as well. Alternatively, if you want to try OpenGL, OpenGL ES 2.0 is not a bad place to start.
OpenGL and DirectX have the same functions to perform. Some games work better with OpenGL while others perform smoother with DirectX, depending upon their specific graphics needs. Most games work without any issues with the default settings on BlueStacks and you won't have to change this setting in most cases.

If you get a message that your graphics are out of date, but your computer passes the minimum specification requirements, you can check to see if the application is running in compatibility mode. Right click the Roblox or Roblox Studio application, and select Properties. Select the Compatibility tab.
It's possible your graphics card can't support 3D rendering at the color quality you use for normal desktop operation. You can try lowering the bit depth to 16 bits, to see if that helps.
There are currently 6 graphic modes available. You can select one by going into Roblox Studio, going into settings (ALT+S), going into Render tab, scrolling down to general and picking a graphics mode from the drop-down. This setting only affects Roblox Studio.
OpenGL. OpenGL is a cross-language, cross-platform application programming interface (API) for rendering 2D and 3D vector graphics. The API is typically used to interact with a graphics processing unit (GPU), to achieve hardware-accelerated rendering.
OpenGL is a cross-language as well as cross-platform of API (application programming interface) which works for the rendering of 2D and 3D vector graphics and interact with GPU (graphics processing unit) for achieving hardware-accelerated rendering. It was developed by the Khronos group as an open-source that was free to work with. DirectX is a group of different applications developed by Microsoft for working on a multimedia platform, programming of games, and other digital media sectors. All the member of this group has their name started with ‘Direct’ word, for example, you will have Direct3D for 3d modeling, Direct Draw and so on for different purposes.
You might find that OpenGL is faster than DirectX because it offers easy to handle libraries but with DirectX, you will have easy to handle input. OpenGL is a functionally based API for the rendering of 2d and 3d graphics whereas DirectX includes that functionality which gives supported features for mouse, keyboard, joystick for input, ...
Written in Language. OpenGL is written in C or C++ computer language. As C and C++ are game designer’s pet languages so that is way DirectX is also written in C and C++ computer languages.
It was developed by the Khronos group but originally Silicon Graphics Inc. started its development in 1991 and released on June 30, 1992, for public use.
