Any LGBT+ creator has the chance to build an audience through their work on Roblox. That kind of support is much needed for some, which is why I’m so happy to see people devote their creative effort toward the platform. It helped me find a close-knit community of trans creators!
Roblox does ban people for saying "gay" or "that's gay" because it counts it as discrimination/insult. Sexualities aren't something children should be sheltered from, it's not like these groups perform talks like "All the types of Bondage and You", they're just a safe space for people to meet and talk about their experiences. Nothing "adult-ish".

Roblox's popularity has been increasing over the last few months. However, many players allege that the community of players playing the multi-arcade game is still as toxic and problematic as it was back in the day. Even though Roblox developers said it was okay to use the word in cases of self-declaration, many users pointed out that typing "I am gay" also gets censored in-game.
With this still happening amidst the awareness that exists about sexual orientations in 2021, players feel Roblox is homophobic. Roblox support recently took to Twitter to explain why the word gay is banned in the game.
Clearly, things did not turn out the way Roblox developers wanted them to. Considering "gay" as a slur in 2021 is certainly homophobic, Robox might need to tweak its ToS to adjust to the times.
At Roblox, we’re building the metaverse: a space for people to adventure, experience, and explore. We’re a global community on this journey together, and we want to ensure everyone feels welcome and safe and is treated with kindness and respect. That’s why we’ve created these Community Standards: to outline how we expect our users to behave, and to be clear up front about what is and isn’t allowed on Roblox.
For our metaverse to thrive, the Roblox community must feel digitally safe as well as physically safe. We can achieve this by respecting each other’s private information and Roblox’s safety systems, and by keeping Roblox accounts and systems secure. This section describes how players and creators should treat others’ information and digital security. For information about how Roblox handles your personal information, please visit the Privacy Policy.
