Eggs can take a certain amount of tasks to hatch. There are two main types of eggs that differ with task amount.
Pet Leveling
While this process can take a while, you can kind of speed up the process if you create yourself what is known as a grinding room. You basically put a cheap crib, tub, feeder, and piano in one room. This allows you to complete tasks for your pet all in the same area so you don't have to run around and waste a lot of time.
