Tool Tip: Shift + F4 to check part count Brick Count is Not the End All Be All < Explanation: When you have an excess of parts, all that happens is it increases the loading time, it doesn’t necessarily decrease player performance.
: RobloxDevelopers How do I view my part count in roblox studio? There is no distinct way to get the part count directly; however through a simple program you can get it. There are studio plugins that display part count for you; you can install them from the developer library catalog in the Plugins section.

In Roblox, these virtual shapes are BasePart objects. What happens when they intersect is your decision through the BasePart/Touched|Touched and BasePart/TouchEnded|TouchEnded events. When considering collision handling, note the following: Collisions in Roblox can cause objects to move around.
Roblox also provides the BasePart/TouchEnded|TouchEnded event which fires when a collision ends. This is useful to detect when two intersecting objects stop touching.
50-100 parts will lag to anyone that sees them, if you put these parts in server everybody will see them and everybody will lag, if you put them in just 1 client only this client will lag (depending on the computer), just try to reduce the quantity of parts, there is always a way.
By resizing the glass to be thinner than the wall, I can make one part fill every window frame. This knocks off 23 parts and takes 10 seconds. Similarly to windows, window frames can be specifically designed to be identical on each floor and you should aim to do this in your builds.

Parts are the basic building blocks of any Roblox place. Commonly known as bricks, you'll see these the most often of any other objects as almost every place is built out of these.
Grouping won't help with lag. What I do recommend is turning your unions and parts into meshes. That will reduce lag.
Mesh A has 5000 polygons and Mesh B 2000, ofcourse, Mesh B will cause less FPS drop and lag because it has less polygons. Models are kind of just “collections” of parts and other things, so those won't lag a lot, only if there is stuff inside that make it lag.
✔️ The Roblox website is now up & available, with a few minor disruptions.

Go to the model tab on studio, and change your move size to a smaller number such as 0.1 instead of the default 1, then you should be able to shrink it. This issue might be happening because one or more parts in your model simply can't be tinier. In Roblox, parts can't be sized smaller than 0.05, 0.05, 0.05.

Tix, also known as Tickets was a currency that was present almost since its launch. Tix didn't cost money, and players could earn by it logging in daily, visiting their Place, and a number of other ways. Tix could also be converted into Robux which is something players used to do a lot.
wait() also returns a second value which describes the time that it finished yielding (basically os. time()). An example of this can be found in the Roblox default animate script. Note that it's not worth using wait() over task.
I have been a small creator for quite some time now, mostly not even getting 100 visits on games. The problem: I do not know how to script. Scripting is something I just can't do. I don't have the time, or money to pay anybody. I could have a small budget, but only in robux. I don't have any real money, or anything else.

Collisions occur when virtual shapes intersect each other in the game world. In Roblox, these virtual shapes are BasePart objects. What happens when they intersect is your decision through the BasePart/Touched|Touched and BasePart/TouchEnded|TouchEnded events.
To detect if a player’s character has touched a part, find the parent of the colliding part and check if it contains a Humanoid object. This script must be placed within the part that should detect collisions.
Collisions in Roblox can cause objects to move around. If that’s undesirable in your use case, disable BasePart/CanCollide|CanCollide on one or both objects involved in the collision.
It helps us help you. A solid way of improving performance is to combine a lot of parts to single MeshPart instances where possible. It is not suitable for all collections of parts, but if you can have a single MeshPart instead of ie. 1000 Parts you have a lot to save.
The only drawback is that depending on the performance of your game , Roblox engine may decide to disable material rendering so not all users will see them. Consider dynamic lighting.
