Netflix button again

I keep pressing it by accident, interrupting whatever we're watching, because of the buttons size and location. It's so annoying. It's the most useless button ever, there are so many other apps we are more likely to open than Netflix, and all can equally easy be opened from the screen. We never use the button to open Netflix on purpose.

Retro Gaming on Android Shield TV 9.0

after trying out a few things in regards to retro gaming, I wanted to share my current state of knowledge.

CEC still broken on 9.0.1 even after 2 factory resets

I have done everything to try to make this livable and just wtf I don’t get it. I have 3 shields and only one is the problem. Unless I fully disable the cec option to switch input when the shield wakes, it will fight all my other devices when trying to switch via cec.

Best emulator for the Shield?

I am thinking about trying to get back into retro gaming on the Shield. I haven’t done so in a very long time but the last thing I used was RetroX. Is there another one I should be looking at because it appears it’s no longer in the Play Store, don’t know if it’s because of the upgrade issues or not.

Plex is still broken

After the new update 9.0.1 at first i could change the storage location of my plex media server to an external drive ..then i started adding stuff in a new library , after a while there was an error and plex stopped seeing my external drive in 'storage location" ..i did a factory reset and it worked again only for a while ..then the same problem happened again.

I accidentally pushed the Netflix button while watching YouTube and then happily started watching a movie!

Said no one ever. I hate that button with passion. I'm going to install button mapper. Is it safe though?

For anyone who watches sports, do you keep the AI enhancement on?

I watch a lot of soccer on Paramount, however the quality is not great at all. I messed around with the tv picture settings, but it make it better.. I was wondering if anyone that watches sports has any tips or tricks how to make the quality better. The quality currently looks kind of pixelated and the picture is not so clear.

Shield 2019 won't turn on TV since 9.0 update. New hotfix didn't fix

Anyone know why this happened or if they're working on fixing this? I have a 2016 Sony bravia 4k TV that worked great with my shield for quite a while, can still control my shield with my tvs remote but can't seem to get my shield to power on my TV anymore since the 9.0 update.
